Stair Inspiration –  Spiral Staircase in Antinori Winery Florence Italy

Located between Florence and Sienna in Italy, and surrounded by the vineyard covered hills of Chianti, Antinori winery’s site is an architecturally and culturally significant estate designed by the architect Archea Associati. The history of the winery can be traced back to 1385.

The landmark in this iconic winery is the rust-finished spiral stairs that conquers a whopping 16.8 meters in elevation, winding elegantly through the rooftop from the underground level, sculpturally connecting the indoor and outdoor views of the winery. The staircase was made of 105 tons of steel plates delivered in 35 segments, then welded together on site to form the stair’s structures.
